Primarily researching queer Muslim visibilities, their work sits at the intersection of social media, platforms, intersectionality, and visibility studies. Their career over the last 14 years includes working in journalism, misinformation and disinformation, OSINT, human rights, and Trust and Safety within the big tech sector. 

Their work experience over the last 10+ includes journalism with a focus on human rights, trust and safety within the big tech sector, misinformation and disinformation, and fact-checking. They won the Mirror Award for Journalism for co-authoring a piece on how anti-Muslim violence went viral on Facebook, and is a Chevening Scholar.
