This report responds to the EU’s AI Act and considers Ireland’s position in implementing the Act, specifically in relation to the configuration of national competent authorities required for implementation. The authors highlight the need for sustainability measures in supporting and expanding AI technologies, entrenching multistakeholder perspectives to broaden perspectives around AI risks and concerns, and ensuring public trust and knowledge through transparency and education.
